I actually wrote this before the new year, but only had time to post it now. More content to come, so check back soon!
Top 5 New Year’s Resolutions to Jumpstart Your Love Life
1. Figure out What You Really Want
If you’re like most single men, you probably haven’t thought much about what you’re looking for in a woman beyond her looks. Focusing just on her looks is why most men aren’t with beautiful women.
Women are attracted to men who have an abundance of women to choose from and have high standards for a romantic partner.
Think of five specific qualities you’re looking for in a woman that aren’t about her physical appearance. Keep those in mind next time you’re talking with an attractive woman and subtly screen and appreciate her for those qualities.
2. Look in the Right Places
Many men complain about the type of woman they’re meeting in nightclubs and bars, but then they keep going to those places searching for their dream girl. A client told me he was looking for a woman with a good career, a healthy lifestyle, and interests in classical music. Guess the only places he had been searching for this woman: Nightclubs. I love nightclubs. But if you haven’t been finding your type of girl at bars and clubs, quit going there to look for her. Either learn how to attract women during the day (it’s much easier than it sounds), or learn how to make new friends and expand your social circles. Be strategic about it.
3. Cut out the Anti-Social Stuff
Carrying out the above assumes you have basic social skills and a decent social life. If you don’t have these, you’re probably spending your spare time in anti-social activities. Activities leaving you with diminished energy afterwards or requiring you to be alone will kill your love life. If playing video games or surfing the web are ways you relax, then limit these activities to the bare minimum. Spend more time face to face with real people.
4. Learn to be More Social
Get out there and make new friends. Take acting or comedy classes. Join a classical music choir or wine tasting club. Do anything that will force you to meet new, interesting people.
5. Be Brave Enough to Ask for Help
Make 2011 the year you be honest with yourself and get help. What’s the best way to learn piano? Get a piano teacher. What’s the best way to learn martial arts? Get a personal trainer. So what’s the best way to get your dating and love life figured out? Get a dating coach.
Send me an email and feel free to ask advice. I personally read every email that comes in. Check out Aura Dating Academy. Apply for a membership. Take a workshop. Make 2011 the year you reach your dating goals!
